Cambridge Examinations
We offer exam preparation for a variety of levels for children and adults. The Cambridge Young Learners exams (Starters, Movers, Flyers) have been especially designed to be pleasant and stimulating for children between the ages of seven and twelve. These are followed by the Key English Test (KET), Preliminary English Test (PET), and International English Language Testing System (IELTS).
Why choose IELTS?
From September 2021, we will not be offering preparatory lessons for the International General Certificate of Secondary Education exam (IGCSE) as increasingly more universities and employers require the IELTS qualification. There are several reasons why you should choose IELTS:
- IELTS is the world’s most popular English language test. It is jointly owned by Cambridge Assessment English, the British Council and IDP: IELTS Australia.
- Unlike the IGCSE, IELTS is accepted by all universities worldwide. European universities require IELTS, not IGCSE.
- There are several IELTS exam sessions every month, whereas the IGCSE takes place only twice a year.
- Candidates receive their IELTS results within a few days, while it takes over 3 months to receive the IGCSE results. Therefore, IELTS candidates have the opportunity to retake the exam in a short period of time if they missed it (e.g. due to being in quarantine) or if they want to improve their mark.
- IELTS lessons can better prepare candidates for their academic studies as they are taught advanced language and skills that will facilitate their transition from school to University.
